Itinerary

  • Day 1. Bogota. Spend a laid back first day in the capital city of Colombia for you to adjust to the altitude (2600 m) and the time zone. Walk in the city centre and on the surroundings of your hotel located in the city’s old quarter. 3 star accommodations, in a central location, breakfast included.
  • Day 2-4. Manizales. Enjoy a horse ride or a easy walk through a real coffee plantation and experience the way locals handpick the coffee. You will visit a place that produces a very high quality coffee and will have the opportunity to experience the process from the crops to the packing ready to be exported. Visit the National park of snow covered peaks “Los Nevados national park” for outstanding views. Accommodation is 3.5 stars in a lively traditional coffee hacienda (plantation house). Breakfast included.
  • Day 5-6 Salento. See the national tree of Colombia located in the valley of Cocora. Wander around the small coffee town of Salento with its unique multi coloured architecture in the heart of the coffee region. Ride local 4WDs used to carry coffee in the past, now are used as a unique local transportation system. 3 star accommodation in a well preserved local guest house.
  • Day 7-8 Armenia. Enjoy the great weather conditions that allow Colombia to produce the best quality coffee in the world. Learn about the coffee production process, its history and how this product has shaped Colombian culture. Visit the national coffee park. 3.5 star accommodation in a traditional coffee hacienda.
  • Day 9-10 Bogota. Spend your last two nights in the massive and cosmopolitan capital of Colombia. Soak up the cultural scene in the colonial old quarter of the city, bike around, visit museums and galleries or dance the night away; have a taste of the famous Latin nightlife and enjoy local cuisine. 3 star accommodations, in a central location, breakfast included.
